About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Airworthiness and Regulatory Engineer to join our 777-9 ALIT SC&P Team in Everett, WA. The position involves leading the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products, and services. The engineer will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements into designs, operations, and procedures. Responsibilities include reviewing complex regulatory and customer requirements, leading the development of compliance statements, engaging with regulators, and providing technical support and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 8+ years' related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products, and services.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Reviews complex regulatory and customer requirements and evaluates impact to company products and services.
  • Leads analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Develops a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products.
  • Researches, investigates, and monitors compliance processes or reported in-service fleet issues for achieving regulatory compliance.
  • Engages with regulators on complex programs or initiatives to shape certification strategies.
  • Partners with regulatory authorities to complete validation of airworthiness to applicable requirements.
  • Provides advanced technical support, training, tools, and resources to the delegated approval organization.
  • Develops, reviews, and maintains complex compliance reports and documents.
  • Establishes and promotes global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.
  • Provides technical and integration leadership for the 777-9 Program.
  • Collaborates with regulatory authorities (FAA and EASA) and internal engineering teams to establish the certification basis for aircraft systems.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
