About The Position

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Senior Airworthiness Engineer to support the H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopters Program Office (PMA 299) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will be experienced in the operation of MH-60R/S aircraft systems and knowledge of aircraft performance. The candidate will provide technical leadership to identify, diagnose and resolve complex engineering issues that can be complex and require a comprehensive understanding of H-60 aircraft systems and subsystems. The candidate will coordinate engineering support with NAVAIR’s engineering divisions, external field engineering facilities and test sites. The candidate will ensure that engineering resources are applied to issues in a timely and effective manner to ensure effective program execution. The selected candidate will be responsible for not limited to: Utilizes the process as required by Director, US Navy and Marine Corps Airworthiness and CYBERSAFE Directorate for the routing of flight clearances. Processes Interim Flight Clearances, NATOPS, and NATIP changes. Mains ains a technical library of flight clearances, engineering reports and other technical information. Execute the NAVAIR processes for documentation, change control management and data management. Provides Systems Configuration Support.

Requirements

  • Education: Must hold a Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university. Allowable substitution: Must hold a Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and must have an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience.
  • Minimum years of experience: Must have at least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems. Must have demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities
