If you want to be part of shaping the future of mobility, then read on! We are looking for a Sr. Aircraft Technician to join our team. The goal of a Sr. Aircraft Technician at Wisk is to ensure that the flight test facility operates smoothly. You will be part of the Test and Flight Operations Team that safely and efficiently tests aircraft for Wisk. Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Hollister Flight Test office. In this role you will be a crucial part of the Wisk Flight Test and Operations team. A team that is built on many years of experience testing and advancing aviation. The Sr. Aircraft Technician role is part of the last line of defense that provides a flightworthy aircraft for Wisk to fly. Through thorough inspections, critical maintenance, and proper paperwork, the rest of the Flight Test team has confidence in the state of the aircraft. Once the aircraft leaves the hangar for operations, the Sr. Aircraft Technician will step into the Crew Chief role, performing flight duties with the rest of the team. Doing their part in performing safe, meaningful test flights of the Wisk aircraft.

Requirements

  • Hold a current and valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Hands-on experience performing maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on aircraft, preferably within general aviation or experimental aircraft environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance tooling and specialized equipment used in the inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document maintenance activities and complete required regulatory paperwork.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and maintenance tracking systems used to manage work orders, track maintenance activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software systems and internal tools utilized by Wisk to track aircraft maintenance and operational data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting or assisting with daily maintenance coordination, helping prioritize tasks and supporting team execution in a flight test or operational aviation environment.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative, identify issues, and contribute to solutions without requiring constant supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and evolving aircraft systems within a dynamic flight test or R&D environment.
  • Familiarity with completing detailed maintenance repairs, aircraft logbook entries, and maintenance documentation in accordance with FAA regulations.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience on general aviation aircraft, including platforms such as Cessna fixed-wing aircraft, Glasair Sportsman, and Bell 206 helicopters, with demonstrated capability supporting inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and return-to-service activities.
