The Senior Aircraft Maintenance Manager will provide support to the program management, regional management and site management by managing and coordinating work across assigned locations. This includes managing the program operations and day-to-day tasks across all sites, coordinating with Government representatives to provide information and services per the Contract. The role serves as the Regional Maintenance Manager with responsibility for planning, managing, and directing the activities of the aviation maintenance mission, which includes repair, rebuild, fabrication, and/or modification of major end items and secondary items (e.g. engines, transmissions, rotor heads, Flexible Engine Test Stands (FEDS), rotor blades) associated with complex rotary wing aircraft systems for the supported units within the area of operations. The manager will interface with supported unit’s maintenance managers, Company Commanders, and Government staff to balance priorities and workload according to mission requirements. Utilizing extensive knowledge of rotary wing aviation maintenance, back shop operations, and procedures in the U.S. Army environment, the manager will independently coordinate and integrate contractor personnel to accomplish the PWS Aviation Sustainment mission. The position acts as the regional focal point for rotary wing aviation support and is responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of aircraft weapon systems and its engines, airframes, and components efficiently and effectively, resolving problems or notifying the Government within its directed mission. The manager will plan, schedule, and coordinate work operations for accomplishment by contractor personnel assigned to the activity within established schedules and priorities. This includes analyzing work schedules, determining manpower, equipment, and material requirements, and meeting with management officials and Government representatives regularly to provide information regarding project progress, discuss issues, and recommend solutions. The role also involves scheduling meetings to keep abreast of schedules, manpower, and materials problems, and coordinating with appropriate personnel to provide information or obtain required support services such as facilities, security, and transportation.
