About The Position

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician to join our H145 FAL team based in Columbus, MS . You will be part of the team to perform work as Electrical installer in the build-up and fabrication, repair, replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components to verify proper functioning of components and systems. Your challenges: Apply the basic techniques and procedures of electrical installation. Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams and different standards in the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical components. Lay-in route wires in aircraft, tying, lacing and apply appropriate anti-chaff protection. Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains and different electronic components such as resistors, capacitors and diodes etc...

Requirements

Minimum six (6) years of aviation electrical experience.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Citizenship: US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings, able to see and read wire numbers.
Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs/27kgs.
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs/27kgs.
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull equipment and tools.
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
Squatting / Kneeling: Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat. Must be able to move about freely in areas with moving aircraft and parts; work in areas where exposure to chemicals and fumes will occur.
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Nice To Haves

Current A&P license is a plus but not required.
