About The Position

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician to join our H145 FAL team based in Columbus, MS . You will be part of the team to perform work as Electrical installer in the build-up and fabrication, repair, replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components to verify proper functioning of components and systems. Your challenges: Apply the basic techniques and procedures of electrical installation. Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams and different standards in the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical components. Lay-in route wires in aircraft, tying, lacing and apply appropriate anti-chaff protection. Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains and different electronic components such as resistors, capacitors and diodes etc...

Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) years of aviation electrical experience.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Citizenship: US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings, able to see and read wire numbers.
  • Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs/27kgs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs/27kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat. Must be able to move about freely in areas with moving aircraft and parts; work in areas where exposure to chemicals and fumes will occur.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Nice To Haves

  • Current A&P license is a plus but not required.
