About The Position

We are looking for a Senior AI Integration Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our team. This is an AI-first role, where artificial intelligence and low-code tools are core to the daily workflow—not add-ons. In this position, you will primarily work on backend integrations, REST APIs, and workflow automation, leveraging Python, AI-assisted development, and platforms such as Power Automate or n8n. You will act as a technical reference for integration design and automation strategies, helping connect internal applications with external systems in a scalable, secure, and efficient way. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving integration problems, automating processes, and using AI tools as a default productivity accelerator, while still remaining hands-on with code.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Full-Stack Engineer, or Backend Engineer.
  • Strong background in backend development, API integrations, and system automation.
  • Experience acting as a technical reference or guiding architectural decisions (formal people management is not required).
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
  • Comfortable making technical decisions and proposing improvements.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and highly adaptable in dynamic environments.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and adopting new technologies, especially AI-driven workflows.
  • Daily use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar for code generation, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to combine AI-assisted coding with sound engineering judgment and validation.
  • Strong experience with Python, particularly for scripting, automation, and API integrations.
  • Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Deep familiarity with JSON-based systems and payloads.
  • Experience handling authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, service principals, and token-based access.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Automate and/or n8n for workflow orchestration, triggers, connectors, and error handling.
  • Ability to automate business and technical processes across multiple systems.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure, including services such as App Services, identity management, storage, and automation.
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 environments and integrations (Graph API, identity, collaboration tools).
  • Experience working with SQL Server or Dataverse, including query writing, schema analysis, and basic data transformations.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash for automation tasks.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
  • Ability to document solutions clearly using Markdown or similar formats.
  • Understanding of integration patterns, error handling, and monitoring considerations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with low-code / no-code platforms beyond Power Automate or n8n.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript for automation expressions or lightweight scripting.
  • Experience working with XML, CSV, or legacy data formats.
  • Exposure to healthcare or regulated-industry integrations (e.g., HL7/FHIR), though not required.
  • Prior experience supporting or influencing architectural decisions without formal management responsibility.
  • Product-oriented mindset, with the ability to evaluate competing solutions and integration approaches.
