JOB SUMMARY The AI SDLC Engineer leads the transformation of Avid’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) from traditional Scrum to an AI-driven SDLC model by implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) as a custom MS365 Agent front end, integrated with an Avid MCP tool on the backend, and enabling seamless automation and collaboration within the MS365 ecosystem. This role automates SDLC processes—including Product Concept Briefs (PCB), Technical Design Documents, and Jira Epics/Stories—leveraging AI, AWS cloud services, Copilot Studio, agentic workflows, and seamless integration with MS Office products. The AI SDLC engineer partners with Product and Engineering teams to drive automation, collaboration, and reliable data flow across all SDLC phases.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
6+ years of experience in software development, lifecycle management, and cloud orchestration.
Proven hands-on experience implementing MCP as a custom MS365 Agent front end, integrated with Avid MCP tools on the backend.
Demonstrated expertise in MCP server deployment, administration, and integration with enterprise systems
Advanced skills in agentic workflow design using Copilot Studio, with seamless integration into MS Office products
Experience automating SDLC processes and connecting MCP tools with Jira, GitHub, and engineering intelligence platforms (e.g. Jellyfish)
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for deploying, integrating, and scaling MCP servers and related automation workflows
Strong change-management skills, with the ability to pilot, train, and communicate process changes for AI-driven workflows
Ability to translate business and technical needs into automated tool design and workflow implementation
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across Product and Engineering teams

Nice To Haves

Experience in media or SaaS environments—comfort with content/IP workflows and cloud delivery

Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and maintain MCP servers as part of a custom MS365 Agent front end, with Avid MCP tool integration on the backend
Develop agentic workflows leveraging Copilot Studio, Claude, AWS cloud services and MS365 Agent capabilities to automate and optimize SDLC processes such as the creation and management of PCBs, Technical Design Docs, Jira Epics and Stories
Collaborate with Product and Engineering departments to define and automate workflows, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
Ensure seamless integration and maintain automation across Jira, Jellyfish, GitHub, and MCP servers, to deliver reliable data flow and traceability throughout the lifecycle
Collaborate with IT and Engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable MCP server deployment and ongoing support
Ensure system hygiene and data quality through audits, change validation, and governance, including rollback plans and published change calendars
Support compliance frameworks for responsible AI use in software development
