As we continue expanding our AI capabilities across the organization, we are seeking a Senior AI Automation Administrator to help drive the next phase of automation and intelligence within our technology ecosystem. In this senior role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, leading, and optimizing AI-driven workflow automation initiatives that support every corner of the company-including Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Product Development, HR, and Legal. Working closely with the Chief AI Officer and the Salesforce Product Manager, you will architect scalable automation solutions, connect complex business systems, and mentor team members as we continue modernizing our operations. Please note: Sponsorship is not provided for this position. The Senior AI Automation Engineer is a position within the Lightspeed Systems' AI Department. This role focuses on AI-driven workflow automation to enhance business processes across the organization. You will collaborate and lead projects across all parts of the company including Marketing, Sales, Customer Services, Finance, Product Development, HR, and Legal. You will use low-code tools like n8n and AI platforms such as OpenAI and Anthropic. The primary responsibilities include connecting business systems and data platforms - including BI platforms, data lakes, Salesforce, and communication tools - into cohesive, automated workflows. This role will work closely with the Chief AI Officer, and the Salesforce Product Manager on delegated projects and tasks. In addition, you will proactively identify, assess, and break down opportunities for you and other team members. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to administer and implement AI-driven automation workflows and initiatives. This position ensures the efficiency, scalability, and stability of Lightspeed Systems' technology ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience in driving and leading technical projects.
  • Experience configuring and managing integrations across multiple systems.
  • Hands-on experience with no-code automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar).
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk or related IT service management tools a plus.
  • Hands-on Salesforce experience, with Salesforce certification a plus.
  • Demonstrated competancy with APIs, webhooks, and working with structured data formats (e.g., JSON).
  • Extensive prompt engineering, and how to structure effective prompts for AI models.
  • Understanding workflows and process requirements of complex application systems.
  • Strong documentation and training skills, with the ability to communicate complex systems to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to administer, organize and document complex application systems and workflows
  • Ability to think creatively and apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, driving issues to resolution and then logging and documenting both cause and resolution.
  • Strong capability in training, mentoring, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Eager to learn and grow in a quickly changing AI landscape.
  • Can break down complex multi-month projects into clearly specified tasks and delegate appropriately.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to accomplish projects within specified deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call support, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and automate workflows using low-code platforms such as n8n and Zapier, that connect business systems (Salesforce Slack, email, databases).
  • Implement lightweight software/apps (could be internal dashboards, forms, small micro-services) to enable automation.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Create, refine, and effectively evaluate prompts for AI models to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Manage and maintain API keys and credentials essential to automated workflows.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automation workflows to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Stay current with advances in large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and emerging AI tools.
  • Partner with stakeholders to analyze business processes and recommend automation solutions.
  • Build project scopes, deployment schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors/vendors on Salesforce and automation projects.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on automation best practices.
  • Measure and prioritize business impact.
  • Monitor and enforce best practices, documentation, and governance for automation projects, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance with security standards.
