Join the Clean Energy Revolution as a Senior Advisor of Employee Communications at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll shape and drive internal communication strategies, engage employees across all levels, foster a culture of transparency and inclusion, and enhance the company's brand and employee experiences through strategic planning, content development, stakeholder management, and visual storytelling. In this role, you will manage the company's newsletters, handling content curation, development and design. You'll execute employee awareness and engagement activities, including high-profile internal communications. Working with executives and subject matter experts, you'll develop and implement strategic communication plans and assess their effectiveness. You must bring strategic thinking, strong employee communications experience and be passionate about creating impactful messages that inform, engage and inspire. Additionally, you will serve as PIO during Incident Management Team activations and after hours (including nights and weekends) on call duty on a rotational basis.

  • Leads the execution of the external communication strategy and measures the strategy's effectiveness
  • Drives the central marketing leadership in managing PR risks and crisis messaging
  • Leads in developing the editorial calendar in collaboration with the Marketing team to ensure a continuous and optimized presence across media platforms
  • Participates in developing the Communication strategy for Corporate Identity by translating the goals of the business into communications strategies and programs
  • Identifies opportunities to share success stories about big initiatives, emphasizing partnerships and community investment
  • Provides clients and colleagues with media relations advice and counsel, media training, news release writing, media distribution processes, and media monitoring/issues tracking
  • Optimizes communication materials databases to ensure prompt response and execution of engagement activities
  • Develops crucial communication materials for the company and its projects, including blogs, OPEDS, fact sheets, site copy, and other materials
  • Facilitates media training for key executives and those who serve as representations of the company
  • Ensures the protection of all physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly manages private customer data and other sensitive information
  • Ten or more years of experience in Corporate Communications within a corporate and/or agency environment
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Experience in visual storytelling and implementing content strategy for digital properties
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint, Viva Engage, Adobe Photoshop and web-based email delivery tools
  • A track record of meeting deadlines and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Experienced in communicating across different company levels, such as customers, clients, colleagues and executives
  • Experienced in connecting complex business strategies and impactful communications
  • Strategic problem solver, self-starter and highly creative in finding new ways to achieve team goals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail
