This Opportunity WSP is seeking a Senior Advisor – Grid Modernization Advisory Services (REMOTE) to join our Advisor & Planning team. Today’s electric grid powers the lives of people across the globe. The grid of the future must preserve its current benefits while increasing reliability, resilience, and affordability. Energy companies face many challenges and opportunities with rapidly increasing energy demands, aging infrastructure, IT/OT upgrades, integration of renewables, changing regulations, and more. Modernizing the grid calls for carefully crafted plans backed by clear foresight and powerful data analytics. Implementing advanced technologies takes a comprehensive understanding of system requirements and vendor options along with a clear vision of how to best leverage new innovations. We are looking for talented, creative, and highly motivated Senior Advisors to join our growing Grid Modernization Advisory Services team as we help utilities and grid operators expertly navigate these complex technical and organizational transitions. Candidates should have a broad understanding of the energy industry and be able to demonstrate strong experience that will support our primary services of assessing organizational needs, creating strategic roadmaps, developing business cases / cost justifications, optimizing business processes, supporting system / vendor selections, and serving as trusted advisors for our clients. Your Impact Roles and Responsibilities Collaborate with a team of subject matter experts to perform complex research, support project initiatives, develop technical reports / recommendations, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes for utility clients. Research and discussions with internal staff, clients, partners, and solution providers to build personal awareness of major market trends in the utility industry in general and Grid Modernization specifically. Share this knowledge with others on the team. Perform in a seller/doer role to pursue opportunities, win work, and lead or support the execution of projects. Develop and maintain advisory opportunities and lead or support Advisory Services proposal development, as needed. Create and deliver high quality technical reports, presentations, and other Advisory Services deliverables. Must have very strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to adapt to a wide variety of audiences. Responsible for mentoring less experienced advisors according to business plans and personal goals that are established annually. Support Advisory Services marketing goals through developing and delivering content for publications, industry reports, pod casts, and speaking engagements. Support the development of the annual Advisory Services business plan. Learn new skills readily, as needed. Perform all duties with little to no supervision. Who You Are
