About The Position

As a systems e ngineer for the TIOS-II program, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating advanced hardware platforms.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of hardware system level and unit level requirements analysis, design, manufacturing, build-out, integration and test, and field deployment
  • Size, Weight and Power analysis (SWAP)
  • Electrical, mechanical, and cabling element design
  • Scheduling of tasking and coordination with machinists, technicians, and assemblers
  • Management of machine shop equipment and safety compliance
  • Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD, Solidworks, CREO, ProE)
  • Creating and updating hardware and software user documentation and testing documentation
  • Coordination and briefing to customer points of contact
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
  • Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of advanced systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
  • Conduct system requirements analysis and develop detailed specifications.
  • Perform system integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and test engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and status reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
