About The Position

As a member of the manufacturing team, the Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting cost estimation, new product launch and leading standardization and innovation initiatives. Your work will include, but not be limited to: Developing manufacturing processes and related equipment for new electrical components (PCBAs and Box-Builds). Processes will primarily include automation, assembly, and quality control. Cost estimation - new/modified business quoting. Launching of new equipment for products. Automation and industrialization planning. Develop and maintain budgets and timelines. Prepare RFQs (requests for quotation), evaluate responses, provide recommendations. Develop materials for and participate in technical reviews with customers. Work with Quality and Plant engineers to develop PFMEA, work instructions, and control plans. Expected to be able to concept and define processes, while working with and managing integrators. Willingness and ability to travel as development and launch schedules dictate. Develop and implement manufacturing best practices and lessons learned from Global network.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in a related field: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
  • Development of assembly processes for electrical component products
  • Experience work with various engineering software (AutoCAD/Draftsight, Solidworks, Simulation Experience, Minitab, Microsoft Suite)
  • Project management
  • Engineering/process change control
  • Experience with Control Plans, PFMEA's, Inspection Sheets, MOS, and floor documentation
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Use broad depth of knowledge and expertise and given a wide degree of creativity and latitude under minimal supervision to accomplish goals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automation, robotics, or high-speed, high-precision assembly
  • Experience in assembly of electrical components or systems
  • Experience in manufacturing control systems
  • APQP Experience
  • Training or experience in facilities that comply to industry standards like IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610
