Your Role on the Team This recruitment is for a Temporary Senior Admitting Worker based out of our Lakewood Medical Center and will be for an evening/night shift, 3:30pm - 11:30pm. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Answer and route incoming calls through the PBX system in a professional manner. Register patients accurately and complete admissions-related documentation. Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to or during patient visits. Collect co-pays and other required patient payments in accordance with policy.

Requirements

  • Experience in patient registration, admissions, or healthcare front-desk operations.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes and co-pay collection.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with PBX or multi-line phone systems.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to handle high call volumes in a fast-paced environment.
