Position Overview The Senior Administrator Site Lead for the Distribution Center (DC) is the onsite lead for all technology operations supporting warehouse, fulfillment, and logistics activities. This role requires strong technical expertise in Zebra handhelds, desktop support, networking, printing, and wireless infrastructure. The Site Lead ensures a stable, compliant, and high-performing technology environment while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include managing the DC computer room, fulfillment hardware, endpoint devices, and technology inventory, while maintaining SOX compliance and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills Strong experience supporting Zebra handhelds, mobile devices, and warehouse scanning technologies. Solid background in Windows desktop support, hardware, printers, and peripherals. Strong understanding of wireless networking, RF troubleshooting, access points, VLANs, and connectivity diagnostics. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). Experience with endpoint management and patching tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM, or equivalent). Knowledge of WMS operations, fulfillment workflows, BOM, and DC processes. Basic understanding of SQL and query structure (SSMS or Oracle SQL).

Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced DC environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization. Capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a team.
  • Minimum 3 of experience supporting Distribution Center systems, including system development, configuration, implementation, and end‑user training.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience, including team guidance, coaching, and supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on expertise with AutoStore and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Access
  • Working knowledge of networks and server environments, including basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience in distribution center, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing IT support.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or comparable certifications.
  • Experience with automation hardware, conveyor systems, labeling equipment, or voice-picking systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or Associate’s degree in a related technical field combined with practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Distribution Center Technology Leadership Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for all IT incidents, service requests, escalations, and technology coordination. Partner with corporate IT, infrastructure, security, and network teams to align with enterprise standards and support models.
  • Technical Support & Operations Provide expert desktop support for Windows endpoints, thin clients, printers, and peripherals. Manage Zebra handhelds, mobile scanners, and RF devices, including configuration, updates, staging, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management. Act as the primary resource for break/fix issues across warehouse technology. Manage endpoint patching, updates, and software deployments in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Network & Wireless Infrastructure Troubleshoot and support wireless networks, including access points, RF coverage, connectivity, and signal performance. Collaborate with network engineering to optimize Wi‑Fi performance in high-density warehouse environments.
  • Warehouse Systems & Fulfillment Technology Support fulfillment hardware such as handhelds, printers, labelers, dock doors, packing stations, and conveyor/control systems (as applicable). Maintain working knowledge of WMS, BOM, order fulfillment processes, routing logic, and warehouse workflows. Provide feedback on end-user needs to support continuous improvement.
  • Compliance, Inventory & IT Controls Maintain SOX compliance and enforce physical and system-level security standards. Manage computer room equipment, environmental stability, and asset tracking. Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets, handhelds, and spare equipment.
  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement Develop and maintain technical documentation, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, workflows, and warehouse technology processes.
