About The Position

As the Road & Bridge Senior Administrative Coordinator, you will be responsible for high-level administrative support functions, which may include accounting, payroll, purchasing, and administrative assistance in budget preparation. You will perform special projects of an administrative, technical, or confidential nature and will collaborate with other divisions, departments, and the community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of experience in office management, administrative support, project management, or similar field
  • None (Certifications/Licenses)
  • Must have a valid driver's license; if you are from out of state, you must have a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date
  • Must not have any major violations or DUI, DWI, DWAI convictions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public works or similar field
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Communication or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience utilizing SharePoint, Cartegraph, Workday, and QAlert
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with people at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct service delivery using a person-centered and harm reduction approach
  • Perform a wide variety of high-level administrative duties, researching, compiling, planning, creating, and maintaining reports and correspondence in varied formats
  • Schedule meetings and handle arrangements associated with meetings as well as prepares meeting minutes
  • Manage and maintain files and proper record-keeping with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Serve as a backup to Business Support Supervisor as well as Customer Service Reps, when needed
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process using standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures
  • Partner with management to communicate policies, procedures, programs, and laws
  • Assist supervisors with preparing disciplinary actions with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy, ensuring timely processing
  • Serve as Payroll Support person for the division
  • Serve as a Procurement Card Holder, place orders, process, and reconcile P-Card transactions
  • Purchase and maintain inventory levels of supplies and materials
  • Assist with implementing effective training and development initiatives
  • Answer phones, address questions, and direct inquiries to the proper contact
  • Serves as a backup to respond to citizen requests and concerns
