Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field with three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with UT mainframe application and web modules.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Demonstrated creative and analytical thinking.
  • Experience with databases and working with confidential information.
  • Extensive experience using Excel and Adobe Acrobat software and comfortable with other software applications.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the work to be performed.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience at UT-Austin

Responsibilities

  • Manages all departmental Procurement Card (Procard) documentation for accuracy.
  • Process monthly Procard (VP7) for all Mechanical Engineering (ME) department faculty and staff.
  • Provide Procurement processing for the ME department.
  • Process procurement-related documents affiliated with purchases, including purchase orders via UT Market, Point Plus, and Procard.
  • Act as Procurement expert to provide advice and information to ensure Faculty are fully aware of their purchasing options to adhere to UT and ME procurement policy.
  • Process monthly VP9 documents affiliated with eShipGlobal and IDT correction of Charges (VT6s) affiliated with Procard VP7s and VP9s (due to Master View issues).
  • Collaborates with the Inventory Coordinator to locate tagged items; this includes preparing the self-tagging form for ME inventory via the purchasing form.
  • Other related functions as assigned.
