About The Position

Overview: Provides high-level administrative support to executive management and teams in Corporate Development (M&A) and Investor Relations functions. Administrative support responsibilities include managing complex calendars, travel, communication, handling confidential information, coordinating investor relations related events, and interfacing with other executive offices within the organization as well as external stakeholders and investors. This position is based on a hybrid schedule, requiring regular onsite presence four days per week , with one day allocated for remote work Primary Responsibilities: Serves as a liaison between manager and bank personnel/executives, responding to questions and issues on departmental matters. Manages complex calendars, coordinating seamlessly with internal executive offices, external stakeholders including investors, investment bankers and broader investor relations community. Coordinates meeting schedules, planning, travel and communication for investor relations related events, such as earnings conference call, investor meetings, industry conferences etc. Assists manager and team in coordinating merger & acquisition related activities with internal and external stakeholders; Handles confidential correspondence and communication. Schedules appointments and maintains calendar for manager. Assists manager in managing daily meetings and schedules in timely and efficient manner. Anticipates and plans for evolving needs and leadership commitments; proactively resolve scheduling conflicts and risks. Performs high level administrative / project assignments, relieving management of many day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth functioning of department. Manages phone calls and emails. Receive and screen visitors and phone calls. Resolve issues as appropriate or relay messages / notify manager. Assists Corporate Development and Investor Relations team in scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements. Assess and prioritize tasks based on urgency, impact, and organizational needs. Proactively identifies process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions. Creates non-routine correspondence and communications on behalf of manager; Prepares and arranges business presentations, management letters, and other communications for the team. Prepares disbursements and billings for approval. Maintains financial expense records. Provides backup support across the division as needed ; Completes other related duties as assigned. Adheres to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. Promotes an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Exercises sound judgment and maintains discretion. Operates effectively with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in experience
  • 4 years progressive secretarial/administrative support experience with demonstrated development of skills on-the-job
