About The Position

The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) at the Renaissance School of Medicine. This role requires a dependable individual with excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), organizational, technical, and time management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and solving problems effectively. The position involves supporting the Vice Dean for UGME and the accrediting body, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), which includes event planning for faculty retreats and preparation for LCME accreditation site visits. The Senior Administrative Assistant will also be tasked with composing, typing, and distributing meeting notes, routine correspondence, and reports, as well as transcribing and preparing minutes for departmental and committee meetings. In addition to supporting the LCME, the Senior Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Director for Global Medical Education, which includes organizing presentations for medical students, scheduling rooms for the Global Medical Journal Club, and managing applications for incoming international medical students. The role also involves processing applications and travel reimbursements for medical students traveling internationally, ensuring that all necessary support is provided. Furthermore, the Senior Administrative Assistant will assist the Director of Evaluation and Assessment by developing, distributing, collecting, and analyzing various surveys and data related to curricular quality improvement efforts and student satisfaction. The position also requires providing administrative support to the Instructional Design Specialist and the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education, which includes scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and disseminating reports. The Senior Administrative Assistant will support large medical student events such as Commencement, Match Day, and Orientations, while also handling student records and responding to inquiries from faculty, staff, and students. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of the UGME office and ensuring compliance with various policies and procedures.
