About The Position

The University of Oklahoma's Price College Finance Division is nationally ranked among the leading Finance programs in the United States. With over 1300 majors, Finance is the third largest major at the University of Oklahoma and the largest major in Price College. The Division's undergraduate programs are divided into five tracks\: wealth management, real estate, commercial banking, asset management, and corporate finance, and provide students with myriad experiential and internship opportunities in each area. The Finance Division currently offers undergraduate and graduate certificates in Real Estate, and undergraduate certificates in Wealth Management, Commercial Banking and Portfolio Management. Graduate certificates in Wealth Management and Commercial Banking are in the approval process. The Division also provides pathways for students to obtain CFA, CFP, CAIA, and SIE external credentials. There are several student organizations and clubs associated with the Finance Division, including the Finance Student Association, Wall Street Sooners, the Investment Club, the Real Estate Club, Women in Finance, and the Wealth Management Club. The Finance Division also has around 100 graduate students enrolled in our online Master of Science in Finance program, including students in our accelerated BBA in finance/accounting/MSF programs, BS in Construction Science/MSF program and BA in Math/MSF program. Additionally, the Division offers a PhD in Finance enrolling 12 students. The Division has a 24-member full-time faculty, several part-time faculty, and a 30-member advisory board that includes leaders from banks and other financial and industrial firms. The Division houses two research centers\: the Center for Financial Studies and the Center for Real Estate Finance. The Division also hosts the world-renowned biennial Energy Finance Research Conference. The Senior Administrative and Financial Coordinator reports to the Director of the Finance Division, and works closely with the Division Director, Program, Track, and Center Directors, and division faculty and staff to coordinate and manage a wide range of administrative and financial responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Management, or related field AND: 24 months of office management, financial management, or related experience.
  • Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months related experience.
  • Skills: Basic math skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with wide knowledge of business software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees records maintenance (inventory, personnel, office files, etc.)
  • Assists with developing, implementing, and interpreting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state and university policies and regulations.
  • Assists with coordination and planning of program hosted events and programs/logistics, negotiates with contractors and vendors.
  • Selects, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned staff.
  • Coordinates and executes department events.
  • Maintains budget and grant administration, account reconciliation, Pcard management, OU Foundation funds, and other departmental support.
  • Performs account reconciliation to balance financial statement transactions to source documents and forecast cash flow and account balance.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
