About The Position

The City and County of San Francisco is looking to hire multiple Senior Administrative Analysts to support various city departments in addressing issues such as homelessness, environmental sustainability, transportation, and public safety. Requirements

  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work in areas such as budgets, contracts, grants, or policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) in relevant fields such as public administration, business law, or economics.
  • Additional experience may substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and perform complex projects requiring expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, legislative policy, and contract administration.
  • Lead projects and provide guidance to junior staff.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on public issues and develop policy recommendations.
  • Track local, state, and federal legislation impacting departmental policies.
  • Coordinate and manage departmental budget proposals and monitor expenditures.
  • Oversee contract processes and collaborate with key departments for contract execution.
  • Conduct data analysis and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Assist with fiscal accounting, budget analysis, and revenue collection.
  • Lead analytical work related to grants management and compliance.
