The Senior Additive Manufacturing Design Engineer will be challenged with solving unique and interesting problems to enable new commercial aerospace and defense products. They will be responsible for one or more of the following activities as they relate to the AMPCC, including: Development, demonstration, and documentation of design methodologies and tools for additive manufacturing including conventional CAD and implicit modeling-based approaches; Execution of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) projects to support business unit evaluation and adoption of additively manufactured components and systems; Topology optimization for generation of geometries enabled by additive manufacturing across structural, thermal, or hydrodynamic domains; Work with cross-functional teams including materials, design, simulation, process, and manufacturing engineers to gain a deep understanding of the full value stream; Support RTX Business Units by providing design expertise and best practices; Collaborate with internal and external groups to develop whitepapers, project concepts, and responsive proposals.
