With Clinical Scientists involved in over two hundred clinical trials, The University of Arizona Cancer Center encompasses three established scientific Research Programs that work together to accomplish the Center's mission to prevent and cure cancer: Cancer Biology, Cancer Prevention and Control, and Clinical and Translational Oncology. This enables the investigation of a broad spectrum of new diagnostic, prevention, and treatment strategies. This position is located at BUMC Tucson (3838 N Campbell Ave) with occasional rotations at BUMC Tucson University of Arizona (1891 W Orange Grove Rd). As a Senior Acute Oncology Pharmacy Technician, you will become part of an elite professional group of technicians. You will develop an elevated level of expertise and work alongside a high functioning team to provide first class service to our patients. We work in unison with outstanding pharmacists and a dedicated nursing staff. Your responsibilities will include compounding procedures, IV preparation, ordering and putting away medications, evaluating inventory needs, daily interaction with pharmacist staff, as well as nursing. You will take responsibility to ensure that the IV room work areas are operating as needed to meet the need of patient care. We are looking for candidates who are initiative-taking, seeking opportunities to gain experience and grow in our unique pharmacy setting. Must have IV compounding experience. This is a full-time day shift position working five, 8-hour shifts per week within the hours of 6:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday and 7:30am-4:00pm on Saturday. Shifts will vary between opening, mid-day, and closing times including rotating Saturdays and rotating holidays. The Saturday rotation occurs approximately once every seven weeks.
