Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Actuarial Credential (ASA or FSA)
10+ years of healthcare actuarial experience
5+ years of experience presenting analytical findings
5+ years of experience working with healthcare claims data
5+ years of experience as a people and project manager

Nice To Haves

5+ years of experience working for a healthcare consulting practice
Proven experience in designing and executing complex actuarial analytics to derive actionable insights
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Advanced capabilities in modern data tools and technologies, including Python, R, Databricks, SQL, and PowerBI

Responsibilities

Act as client lead on a day-to-day basis for delivery of large-scale and complex projects
Lead recurring meetings across finance, operations, and actuarial client teams
Develop, conduct, and evaluate studies to measure savings and impact of health care affordability and cost-management initiatives
Design and execute detailed data programs and actuarial models using tools such as R, Python, Excel, SAS, and SQL
Interpret, compile, and disseminate results of modeling analyses with appropriate conclusions and recommendations
Serve in an advisory role on business strategy, operational effectiveness, and analytic best practices
Provide strategic input to the development of the project roadmap and timelines
Create a team-oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies
Manage a team of Actuarial Consultants, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers
Provide coaching and mentoring to junior consultants and analysts with the goal of developing and retaining talent within the organization
