We are hiring an actuary for the Personal Auto Actuarial Products Division, which is responsible for our Personal Auto, Motorcycles, and Personal Umbrella products. The role involves collaborating with other ISO/Verisk divisions to maintain, enhance, and develop our standard personal auto products that respond to the current market, competitive, and technological landscape. The actuary will conduct research on new modeling techniques and data sources to support and enhance our standard auto products, respond to customer and regulatory inquiries, and develop marketing materials and publications. The position also requires interaction with regulatory authorities and occasional travel for industry conferences and customer visits.

  • Collaborate with other ISO/Verisk divisions to maintain, enhance, and develop standard personal auto products.
  • Conduct research on new modeling techniques and data sources.
  • Support products by responding to customer and regulatory inquiries.
  • Provide expert advice to customers and develop marketing materials.
  • Build and maintain a network of contacts within and outside Verisk.
  • Lead the innovation and update of the ISO Personal Auto insurance program.
  • Satisfy customer specifications and requirements and meet contractual deadlines.
  • Drive quality results and customer focus into everyday operations.
  • Interact with regulatory authorities to present updates and innovations.
  • Support filings of loss cost reviews and related products.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 7 years insurance experience desired, with personal auto experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills required; SQL, Python, R, and/or other programming languages are a plus.
  • Predictive modeling, pricing, and data analysis experience are highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of market, industry, customer, competition, etc.
  • Strong record of building great internal or external customer relationships.
  • Proven communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • ACAS with commitment to attaining FCAS membership is essential.
  • Additional relevant education or degrees.
