About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Active Directory and Server Administration Specialist to join the team in Kent, WA; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; El Segundo, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; Englewood, CO; Miami, FL; Chicago, IL; Berkeley, MO; Oklahoma City, OK; Ridley Park, PA; North Charleston, SC; Dallas, TX; Plano, TX; Arlington, VA; Everett, WA; or Seattle, WA. This individual will operate and evolve enterprise Active Directory (AD), privileged-access tooling, software distribution systems, and content repository. The environment spans nine AD domains, roughly 200,000 endpoints, extensive Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Distributed File System Replication (DFSR)-replicated servers, and both physical and virtual infrastructure. This role includes hands-on administration, monitoring, incident response, automation, migration work, and training.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows Server (2016 or later) and Windows desktop OS (Windows 10 or later)
  • 3+ years of experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining group policy objects within a Microsoft Active Directory environment
  • 3+ years of experience supporting software distribution platforms
  • Experience with software credential repositories, including CyberArk Conjur, HashiCorp Vault, and Spring Cloud Vault
  • Experience writing PowerShell or other scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
  • Experience in Git

Responsibilities

  • Manage AD at enterprise scale including security groups, machine accounts, Organizational Units (Ous), GPO creation/testing/troubleshooting, AD hardening, and cloud AD integrations (Azure/Amazon Web Services)
  • Support CyberArk/privileged access including user onboarding, access troubleshooting, and training
  • Operate software distribution infrastructure (System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)/ Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), content servers) including packaging, sequencing, replication health, patching, Demand Response (DR), and client troubleshooting
  • Maintain DFSR replica sets, master/staging servers, replication troubleshooting, capacity planning, and drive migrations from End of Life (EOL) hardware to virtual/current Operating System (OS)
  • Monitor incident response including implementing and maintain monitoring (SCOM/Splunk/Azure Monitor/Prometheus)
  • Lead incident triage and postmortems, maintain playbooks/runbooks
  • Develop PowerShell and Python scripts, store automation in Git
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC)/Continuous Integration (CI) practices where appropriate
  • Participate in No Objection Statement (NOS) migration, desktop change board, role manager workflows, and domain consolidation/migration efforts
  • Create and maintain runbooks, train technicians and end users, and perform knowledge transfer as needed
