About The Position

As our Senior Accounting Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, reconciliation efficiency, and financial reporting precision. Requirements

  • 3–4 years of accounting, payroll, or reconciliation experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/agency systems
  • Typing speed of 35+ WPM
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Professional, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed with sound decision-making skills
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish — required

  • accounting or payroll certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely payroll using ADP or other payroll systems
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and process adjustments as needed
  • Audit payroll records to ensure compliance with company commission policies
  • Calculate and verify agent rates with consistency and accuracy
  • Process LOA payments and direct payments, ensuring timely completion
  • Prepare Profit & Loss reports, Net Profit reports, and additional financial reports as requested
  • Generate and distribute payroll and accounting reports as required
  • Support the reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Provide support and guidance to the Payroll Administrator when needed
  • Train and onboard new department team members
  • Maintain and update the department handbook as workflows or policies change
  • Ensure payroll confidentiality and secure record maintenance
  • Act as liaison between carriers, brokers, and the company
  • Prepare and distribute OEP-related materials before annual deadlines
  • Maintain up-to-date records within the agency system
  • Serve as backup to the front office as needed
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure smooth payroll and accounting operations
