The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), Accounting Unit, is seeking a Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist). In this role, you will work in a team environment and be responsible for researching and resolving the more difficult accounting problems. Responsibilities include processing payments for support invoices and Golden State Teacher grant programs, reconciliations, and researching and submitting requests for Plan of Financial Adjustments (PFA). The incumbent will work with Contracted Fiscal Services (CFS) on any questions or issues they may have related to their programs.   • Current residency in the State of California is required.

  • Experience reviewing and analyzing accounting transactions and reporting back any abnormalities to management.
  • Experience with Fi$Cal.
  • Experience with various types of reconciliations.
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, and processing documents received for payment.
  • Proficient to advance knowledge, skills, and abilities with Microsoft Office Suite software.
