About The Position

The role of the Senior Accounting Officer, Supervisor is to support the Service Center within the Financial Management Division. This support includes processing payroll warrants, distributing advance checks, printing Office Revolving Fund (ORF) checks, as well as working closely with Human Resources. Some duties include supervising and coordinating the activities of staff including leadership guidance, procedural training, and evaluation of work performed by unit staff, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, prepare employee probation reports, determine training course requirements and needs, oversee staffing needs and monitor attendance. Monitor and guide staff towards providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Must meet the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification for Senior Accounting Officer (Supervisor).
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and knowledge of FI$Cal submodules.
  • Good supervisory skills and ability to deal with performance issues.

  • Experience in a supervisory role.
