Job Summary: CPSFL has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounting Manager for a full-time position. The Senior Accounting Manager will support the organization’s Financial Services department in its day-to-day operations. This individual will be responsible for providing support to the Controller. Additional duties will be assigned as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related finance degree
  • 3 years’ experience inclusive of grant analysis, budgeting, and internal auditing experience, Non-Profit experience preferred.
  • Highly motivated, ethical, committed and hardworking.
  • Proven history of successful fiscal leadership and management.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and accounting software (MIP Fund Accounting a plus).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to be an active listener and communicate information effectively.
  • Excellent people skills and customer service oriented.
  • Strong knowledge and adherence of GAAP & GAAS.
  • Ability to manage people and situations as required, in a professional and productive manner.
  • Experienced in diversified financial activities and general management combined with extensive computer knowledge.
  • Be able to work extremely well individually with self-motivation and initiative, and as part of a team helping to set the course and make decisions.
  • Able to use critical thinking, logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Non-Profit experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and accounting software (MIP Fund Accounting a plus).

Responsibilities

  • AUDITS: Facilitates all external audits by agency’s independent auditors and funding agencies.
  • TRAINING: Train AP/AR staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness in operations.
  • TEAM PLAYER: Works closely with Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and Assistant Controller to establish organizational priorities, daily operational and administrative needs for the department and create efficiencies.
  • BUDGET PLANNING: Works closely with all service areas to prepare grant specific budgets that conform with CPSFL’s needs, capacity, and budget models.
