We're seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to play a key leadership role within the accounting organization. This is a hands-on, high-impact position responsible for technical accounting, financial reporting, and leading core areas of the close. You'll partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams while helping modernize accounting processes through automation and the use of AI tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including hands-on experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842
  • Proven experience with inventory accounting and reserve analysis
  • Experience overseeing AR processes and reserves
  • Strong background in month-end close and financial reporting
  • Experience working directly with external auditors
  • ERP experience (Great Plains a plus) and advanced Excel skills

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Experience leveraging automation and/or AI tools in accounting processes preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting analysis and documentation for ASC 606 (revenue recognition) related to new contracts and customers
  • Oversee ASC 842 lease accounting, ensuring ongoing compliance
  • Own and continuously evaluate the inventory reserve methodology (critical business area)
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable, including aging, reserves, and process improvements
  • Evaluate and document accounting treatment for new and complex transactions
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity and timely resolution of reconciling items
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Analyze results and communicate variances and key drivers to leadership
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors
  • Lead preparation and review of PBC schedules and audit support
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and compliance processes
  • Drive efficient, low-friction audits with minimal adjustments
  • Manage, coach, and develop accounting team members
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and AI-driven efficiencies
  • Improve scalability of accounting operations without proportional headcount growth
  • Partner with FP&A, Legal, and Operations on accounting implications and business initiatives
  • Support forecasting, variance analysis, and executive reporting
  • Act as a trusted advisor on accounting matters across the organization
