About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Consultant for an onsite, contract role lasting 12–24 months. This position involves providing immediate support to an established accounting team, ensuring seamless integration and management of core accounting functions within a busy close environment.

Requirements

  • Expert in month-end close processes.
  • Proficient in preparing journal entries.
  • Experienced in general ledger accounting.
  • Skilled in reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
  • Proficient in financial statement preparation.
  • Experienced in audit support and audit preparedness.
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
  • Proficient in financial reporting.
  • ERP experience, specifically Epicor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and budgeting.
  • Ability to perform financial statement analysis.
  • Familiarity with GAAP knowledge.
  • Experience in reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the month-end close process.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Manage general ledger activity and ensure accuracy across all accounts.
  • Support financial statement preparation and related reporting.
  • Provide audit support, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and assist with balance sheet integrity.
  • Support business forecasting and related financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain accounting accuracy and process consistency.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed in a growing environment.
