What you’ll do As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will play a key role in managing payroll, financial reporting and invoicing for the firm. You’ll report directly to the Accounting Manager to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in payroll
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Self-starter who can work under general supervision.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
  • Willingness to take online accounting and/or payroll courses to enhance skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with third-party payroll processing.
  • Educational requirements may be offset by significant experience in similar roles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll functions, including timekeeping and third-party payroll processing.
  • Maintain and update employee data in the firm’s accounting software.
  • Assist with confidential financial information management.
  • Support month-end financial reporting.
  • Prepare and process invoices.
  • Reconcile monthly balance sheets and bank statements.
  • Act as a backup for accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and deadlines.
  • Communicate financial information clearly and professionally.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
