Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
• 1-2 years of progressive work experience in Finance, specifically as an Accounting Analyst, or 4-6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Extensive communication, problem-solving, and personal interaction skills.
• Knowledge of complex investment strategies including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and derivatives.
• High-level skills with investment accounting software.
• Knowledge of financial and organizational analysis, GAAP, and GASB.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and specialized accounting to ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB standards.
• Review and analyze accounting records to identify discrepancies in financial reports.
• Open and close manager accounts as approved by the Investment Funds Committee and State Loan and Investment Board.
• Prepare letters of direction for the custodial bank as needed.
• Compile, manage, and reconcile various monthly and quarterly reports for internal and external use.
• Assist with reconciling investment reports by pool and manager statements to the custodial bank.
• Compile and interpret data for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and Treasurer's Annual Report.
• Develop and maintain formal procedures for assigned duties and serve as a backup for other positions in the Financial Accounting Division.
