Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting, statistics, economics, or business.
  • At least two years of professional finance experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 programs and accounting software, particularly PeopleSoft.

  • Knowledge of public sector financial regulations and grant management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze the agency's budget, including trend analysis and forecasting.
  • Prepare the annual resource justification model and federal grant expenditure reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statement schedules and audits.
  • Process accounts payable vouchers and purchasing card transactions.
  • Prepare and file annual vendor 1099 forms.
  • Complete daily and monthly cash and postage account reconciliations.
  • Maintain and track agency assets in the property inventory system.
  • Review and update financial policies and procedures annually.
  • Oversee the annual review and purge of financial records per retention schedule.
