About The Position

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance team that provides strategic accounting for our growth and transformation. Responsibilities include assisting with technical research on complex accounting areas to determine appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions. Provide excellent business partnership to internal and external teams.

Requirements

  • BS in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5 years experience in Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience with GAAP.
  • Advanced analytical skills and strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or relevant experience.
  • CPA.
  • PeopleSoft experience.

Responsibilities

  • Become the subject matter expert on key accounting areas in the area of domain.
  • Work directly with the business to help leadership understand the financial impact of contracts or changes to current business practices.
  • Compile key financial information for distribution throughout the organization.
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes using financial systems and spreadsheet models.
  • Perform variance analysis, identify key drivers of performance, and provide insightful commentary to explain financial results to management.
  • Participate in month-end close process, including the preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, variance explanations and other financial information and supporting schedules.
  • Use operational and financial data to provide financial insights and analytical support to senior leadership.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and modeling to support decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Develop and maintain ledgers, systems, financial models and dashboards to track financial metrics.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational reports for senior management.
  • Support various stakeholders across the organization by reporting and tracking of business drivers, financial impacts, and progress toward strategic objectives.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and other departments to ensure consistency of information between financial plans and operational execution.
  • Continuously evaluate and streamline financial planning processes and tools.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to drive productivity and effectiveness.
  • Train, document and update process and procedures for staff.
