About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Accounting team as a Senior Accountant based in Shelton, CT. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the company by providing timely and accurate financial information for internal and external use, maintaining and ascertaining the integrity of accounting records for the purpose of compiling and reconciling accounting and operational information for a multitude of countries, branches and entities. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in accounting.
• 5 years related experience.
• Previous experience with foreign national currency a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products with a strong emphasis in Excel.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Follow through is a must.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations for multiple countries.
• Month end and year end closings.
• Intercompany transactions with a reconciliation of foreign transactions.
• Identify discrepancies, research and resolve in a timely manner.
• Ad-hoc assignments as needed.
