We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing general accounting operations, preparing complex financial reports, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This role offers an opportunity to take ownership of critical accounting functions and contribute to strategic financial initiatives.

Lead the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including complex reconciliations, vendor management, and aging analysis.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed.
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of advanced journal entries, accruals, and account variance analysis.
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Generate and present periodic financial reports and insights to management and key stakeholders, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations.
Conduct in-depth account analysis, identifying and explaining variances from budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
Support payroll processing by reviewing and ensuring accuracy in financial postings and payroll-related entries.
Enhance and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and safeguard company assets.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and GAAP.
Act as a liaison for internal and external audits by preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.
Assist with the implementation and optimization of accounting systems, providing recommendations for technology and process enhancements.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
Deep understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with finance leadership and cross-functional teams.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and contribute as a collaborative team member.
