About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team in New Castle, Delaware. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Accounting leadership team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency and hands-on experience with financial management software (e.g., Oracle, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills required
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including oversight of accounts payable, cash receipts, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and payroll as needed
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
