The company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. As a key member of the finance team, the primary duties of this position are to support the Company's Controller with various daily duties and the monthly closing process. In close coordination with the Controller, responsibilities include monthly account analysis schedules, bank reconciliations, posting journal entries, and other duties related to the monthly close process, including those of a newly acquired entity. The Senior Accountant will participate on projects to support new company initiatives, process improvement, automation, and integration of accounting systems of acquisitions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related accounting and financial analysis experience
  • High proficiency in Excel and MS Office suite
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
  • A hands-on, detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills
  • A team player with the self-confidence, presence and consultative skills to positively influence the business
  • A tenacious, operationally minded individual with a strong work ethic
  • An orientation toward change management and process improvement initiatives
  • Curious and willing to explore and problem solve independently as well as collaboratively
  • Ability to quickly learn and work across multiple systems
  • Prior work experience with mainstream accounting ERP systems such as Sales Force, Oracle, Sage, and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures including Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Maintain account analysis for fixed assets, prepaids, accruals and other balances as necessary
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Participate in process improvement projects and system implementations/enhancements
  • Support company acquisition and integration activities including operational and financial activities
  • Assist in completion of annual audit with external CPA firm
  • Function as an effective member of the team, assisting co-workers as needed and learning from colleagues and supervisors; support the goals of the organization; demonstrate initiative in the interest of the company and its customers
