The Senior Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), established guidelines, and McKesson policy for internal and external stakeholders. Duties include applying accounting principles and best practices to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, reviewing operating procedures, company controls, and compliance measures. This role also drives continuous process improvements and supports the Accounting, Reporting, and Compliance (ARC) team. This role acts as a key contributor in a complex environment and has the potential and opportunity for advancement. Acts as a key contributor in a complex environment, serving as a resource for colleagues with less experience and directing work without formal management responsibilities using internal or external resources to accomplish goals.
