About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant with expertise in General Ledger Accounting to join our team. This role involves preparing and posting journal entries, performing bank reconciliations, calculating tax accruals, and supporting accounts payable and receivable processes. You will play a key role in preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and conducting financial analyses.

Requirements

Proficiency in accounting and general ledger processes.
Experience with reconciliation and journal entry tasks.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple processes and projects under tight deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3+ years of professional accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Hyperion and SAP is a plus.
Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.
Ability to work under time constraints with a large and diverse group of internal customers.
Occasional local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closures.
Reconcile general ledger accounts.
Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Calculate and record accruals for property and sales tax.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Assist with tax filings and audits as needed.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor aging reports and ensure timely collections.
Support AP/AR month-end close processes.
Prepare ad hoc reports and financial analysis as requested.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
