About The Position

CloudHQ is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our International Operations Accounting team. The successful candidate will provide support for the Accounting/Finance Team in the day-to-day operations and development of several large-scale data centers. The Senior Accountant will work with Property Management, Operations, and Accounting personnel as well as Executive level staff within our organization. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, monthly draws and general ledger account reconciliations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and able to succeed in a fast-past environment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years in a professional business environment, public accounting and/or real estate industry
  • Entrepreneurial and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Superior organization skills with the ability to maintain progress against important deadlines
  • Ability to train and motivate junior staff members
  • Able to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Strong sense of urgency to accomplish tasks on or ahead of schedule while still maintaining accuracy
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to solve problems using analysis, technical and organizational expertise
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Responsible attitude with strong work ethic; leading by example in attendance, attitude and technical work product.
  • Strong teaming skills works well with internal and external team members and drives execution through collaboration and networking
  • Assertive personality style is needed to ensure that processes are completed and moving on to the next stage of completion
  • Ability and willingness to respond to emails and phone calls after hours in the event of an emergency

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Real estate accounting experience preferred
  • Yardi software experience preferred
  • Foreign currency and consolidation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements including supporting workpaper packages
  • Review corporate expense and overhead allocations
  • Perform account variance analyses and reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Review invoices for proper coding and prepare for payment
  • Reconcile and review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
  • Financial statement consolidations
  • Compile financial data and other audit requirements
  • Prepare monthly tenant and customer invoices
  • Assist with other accounting projects as needed
  • Travel to sites, client meetings, training or conferences as requested and required
  • Special projects, as assigned
