About The Position

Advocates for Human Potential ("AHP") is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting across multiple projects and grants. This role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting to internal teams and external clients. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong technical and analytical skills with a deep understanding of general ledger accounting and project finance. This is a hybrid role with 1 to 3 days in our Sudbury MA office.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in business, finance, or accounting
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting or finance department with increasing responsibility or equivalent demonstrable skills and experience. We recognize that valuable experience can be gained through diverse pathways, including non-traditional roles, intensive project-based work, or advanced certifications/degrees.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows
• Review reconciliations and conduct project financial analysis
• Assist with annual audit process
• Provide guidance and expertise to the NetSuite implementation process
• Develop and manage budgets for proposals and active projects
• Provide budget planning, monitoring, and reporting to project staff
• Manage monthly invoicing and collections processes for assigned projects
• Fulfill federal and state grant/project financial reporting requirements
• Perform other finance-related tasks and projects, as assigned
