The Senior Accountant will manage the full-cycle accounting process and play a critical role in establishing and monitoring internal control procedures. This position focuses on ensuring the accuracy of financial data, safeguarding company assets, and optimizing operational workflows to support the company’s growth and financial integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and best practices for internal financial controls.
  • Native or professional fluency in Korean and English Required.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing or managing internal control systems (SOPs) in a private company setting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements are prepared in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Maintain the General Ledger and perform detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, AR/AP, and intercompany transactions to ensure zero-discrepancy.
  • Perform variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) and provide insights into departmental spending and operational costs.
  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key financial areas such as revenue recognition, procurement, and expense management.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies and identify potential risks in the financial reporting process.
  • Implement and oversee controls for physical and digital assets, including inventory management and authorized signature protocols.
  • Identify bottlenecks in current accounting workflows and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Act as the primary liaison for annual financial audits, preparing necessary schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales tax filings, property tax, and other local/state regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate financial results and internal control status to the parent company in Korea.
  • Work with various departments to ensure expense reports and vendor payments are processed according to internal control guidelines.
