About The Position

A Cox Consulting Network client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant / Accounting Consultant to join their Finance and IT teams on a high-impact process improvement project. This role will play a key part in improving documentation and designing scalable, well-defined workflows that support long-term growth.

Requirements

• CPA
• Strong experience capitalizing internally developed software
• Proficiency with Oracle ERP
• Ability to build and document accounting processes and controls
• Advanced Excel skills (SUMIF, INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP, arrays, etc.)
• Fast ramp-up ability and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation discipline

Responsibilities

• Improve and document accounting processes, rebuild undocumented or inefficient workpapers, and create clear SOPs
• Lead technical accounting efforts related to: Capitalization of internally developed software
• SaaS implementation costs (e.g., NetSuite)
• Utilize Oracle ERP for GL analysis and month-end close support
• Partner with leadership to drive immediate and long-term process improvements
