The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Assistant Controller in maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, assisting with budgeting processes, and reconciling accounts. This role will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of AR, AP, and corporate credit card and expense reporting. This role is critical for meeting our month end reporting requirements to ensure we distribute monthly results to our partners accurately and timely. This position will take the lead on improving internal processes and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Extremely strong Excel skills
  • Practical experience with financial platforms, preferably SAGE, and interfacing with third-party apps such as Bill.com and expense reporting software, numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable through a combination of Bill.com and banking activity
  • Process daily credit card receivable entries and reconciliations via internal and third-party details
  • Process daily revenue from the operating system, WinOMS
  • Process daily patient refunds
  • Manage expense reporting process and ensure timely and accurate expense reporting company-wide
  • Review and process payroll general ledger entries
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner
  • Calculate and process month-end journal entries for key accounts
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Improve revenue recognition processes to be fully in line with US GAAP accounting standards
  • Develop and document accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Design and implement process and system improvements
  • Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
  • Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
  • Prepare reports on financial performance on periodic basis
