Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close process. You’ll own key accounting functions including fixed assets, purchasing oversight, and complex journal entries while partnering cross-functionally to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems
- Direct experience with fixed asset accounting and maintenance
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

- Experience supporting audits and working with external advisors
- Background in capital-intensive or healthcare-related environments
- Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and controls
Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining the fixed asset system, including asset tracking, inventory, and depreciation
- Preparing and recording month-end journal entries related to leases, prepaids, payroll, accruals, and other complex accounts
- Overseeing the purchasing and PO process, including invoice entry and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting for capital and operating expenditures
- Supporting personal property tax compliance by assisting with reconciliations and coordinating with external tax advisors
- Recommending and implementing improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls
- Supporting audits, ad hoc financial analyses, and providing backup support to the Accounting & Tax Manager
