About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, highly detailed Senior Accountant with excellent communication and strong analytical skills to work closely with the Controller on all strategic and day-to-day accounting processes. The Senior Accountant is responsible for a multitude of accounting duties including financial statement preparation, upkeep of the general ledger and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements

3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP).
Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFs, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills.
Must show accountability, be a team player and operate with a sense of urgency.
Demonstrate the highest level of personal ethics and professional integrity.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented accountant, and has high attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Entertainment or media industry experience preferred.
NetSuite experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Record, verify, and post routine financial transactions, journal entries, and adjustments in the general ledger.
Prepare documentation and schedules to support journal entries, account balances and accruals.
Daily and weekly cash reporting.
Monthly bank reconciliations.
Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
Assist with annual audit requests.
Assist with implementing corporate accounting policies and procedures.
Participate in special projects, ad hoc reporting, data gathering and analysis as needed to support the Accounting and Finance team or other departments.
