About The Position

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the financial operations of the company. This role involves overseeing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting within the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems implementation.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Conduct cost accounting and inventory valuation to support manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.
