About The Position

Senior Accountant needed for large company in Springfield, VA with a close-nit team and a great Manager. This is work from office and home a few days a week in a hybrid set up. Direct Hire opportunity. Pay depends on experience. $100k - $110k plus. Excellent benefits, PTO, health care etc. Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and performs a full range of accounting tasks.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
5 to 7 years of experience in general accounting in an ERP environment.

Nice To Haves

CPA is a nice to have but not required.

Responsibilities

Performs month-end/year-end close.
Conducts general ledger journal entries.
Provides accounting and finance support for the business cost centers including Budget/Forecast preparation.
Monitors and audits general ledger postings from field units.
Controls account reconciliations.
Performs financial statement preparation and analysis.
Tracks capital expenditure.
Conducts Fixed asset accounting.
Creates and amends the internal controls, policies, and procedures.
May oversee tasks of staff accountants.
Other financial reporting as required.
Completion of ad hoc projects as needed.
Works with international affiliates to maintain intercompany accounts.
